Sales Engineer, Foundry

This position, will be the lead point of contact for all matters related to his/her customers in the Mid-West and Southeast U.S., maintaining strong long-terms relationships and negotiating contracts and sales agreements.

This position will be the lead point of contact for all matters related to his/her customers in the Mid-West and Southeast, maintaining strong long-terms relationships and negotiating contracts and sales agreements.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 • Lead point of contact for all matters specific to assigned customers.

Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships with customers, including distributors.

Negotiate contracts and sales agreements to insure fulfillment of the business plan. 

Prepare sales reports.

Create or manage the execution of marketing materials including case histories, white papers and  MSDS sheets.

Monitor and evaluate sales and distribution trends to identify opportunities for foundry products.

Develop market intelligence on competitor’s products, pricing and sales activities.

Track work through CRM system.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies, plans and programs to maximize creation of new business opportunities.

Ensure delivery of products and services per the customer requirements.

Ensure a positive experience for customers.

Further develop business with current clients and identify potential clients.

Forecast and track key account metrics.

Attend industry sales and trade conferences.

Collaborate with all team members.

 

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:

 • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related Foundry field. Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) schools/participation preferred. 

• Experience or exposure in Foundry, preferably in the Core and/or Molding divisions.

Experience selling specialty sands into foundries a plus.

Excellent communication skills; must be able to interact in a concise and thoughtful manner to technical and non-technical groups.

Superior presentation skills.

Demonstrated experience with being self-motivated, entrepreneurial, a strong leader with excellent relationship skills, and excellent computer skills.

Ability to travel frequently.
