FEF's screening of award candidates for final selection by the Scholarship Committee of the Non-Ferrous Founders' Society will be based on the following:

Residency

1. Must be North American citizen or permanent resident (see next requirement)
2. If you are not a North American citizen, click here to review the policy

Education

1. Meets FEF Student Guidelines
2. Attending an FEF college/university
3. Attending a non-FEF college/university

Applications will be graded on the following criteria:

1. Career Objective Essay (1-10 pts) = 30% of scoring
2. Education = 40% of scoring
   1. Study in Engineering directly related to cast metals industry (8-10 pts)
   2. Other cast metals industry related course of study (1-7 pts)
3. Work Experience = 30% of scoring
   1. Internship/Co-op work experience at NFFS member facility (8-10 pts)
   2. Internship/Co-op work experience in the nonferrous cast metals industry (5-7 pts)
   3. Any work experience in the cast metals industry (1-4 pts)

Deadline

1. Before September 30, 2020
2. (deadlines are subject to change from year to year)
