AFS Hawkeye Scholarship

Selection Criteria

FEF's screening of award candidates for final selection by the Selection Committee of the AFS Hawkeye Chapter will be based on criteria. Within each category, the criteria is listed in descending order.

YOU MUST HAVE A COMPLETE AND UPDATED FEF STUDENT PROFILE

Residency:
  1. Resident of Iowa or Wisconsin
  2. Resident of surrounding state
  3. Internship with a company in Iowa, Wisconsin, or surrounding state
Education:
  1. Meets FEF Student Guidelines
  2. Attending an FEF college/university
  3. Attending a non-FEF college/university (NOTE: Students must be enrolled through spring semester)
Class:
  1. First, second or third year student
  2. Senior or grad student
Preferences will be given to the following:
  1. Students with internship/co-op experience with foundries/foundry suppliers in the AFS Hawkeye Chapter region
  2. Students who are in foundry related courses with schools affiliated with an AFS Hawkeye Chapter member
  3. In the event of a tie, GPA will be taken into consideration.
Deadline:
  1. Before April 1, 2024
  2. (deadlines are subject to change from year to year)
