African Spear Auction
African Spear Student Castings - Auction Coming Soon!
Thanks to the generosity of the Steel Founders' Society, FEF will be auctioning off several of the African Spears that 16 schools (20 spears) produced for the Annual Cast In Steel competition held by SFSA. The winner of this competition was Cal Poly Pomona - their spear will not be auctioned off.
Additionally, a spear made by and signed by Ben Abbott, a Forged in Fire judge, will be auctioned off.
The auction will begin on Friday, June 16 and will conclude at 11:59pm (central time) on Friday, June 30. Bids can be made for any of the available spears with the high bidder receiving the spear corresponding to their winning bid; the starting bid is $100.00; bid increment is $10.00.
If a spear was broken during the testing period, that is noted on the auction form.
Note: Shipping & handling charges will be added to your winning bid amount ($25.00).

Professor Emeritus Nomination
Overview
The Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) is seeking nominations from former students of retired Key Professors from FEF supported metalcasting programs to confer an honorific title of FEF Key Professor Emeritus. Emeritus is an honorific title presented by FEF to any Key Professor in retirement in recognition of meritorious service to FEF students and their school(s).
Student Stories
Through the generosity of donors, FEF is able to provide over $400,000 annually in scholarship and program support funding to our family of schools. Many of these students enter the metalcasting industry at graduation. Some write notes to let us know how the funding has impacted their educational experience.
